Leaving Loutraki in the morning, there will be a short stop at Corinth Canal before continuing to Isthmia port ,for the embarkation in the boat for the Canal crossing ( 1hour).
This two hours cruise between Loutraki and Corinth is a unique opportunity to sail through this impressive work, the Corinth Canal made in 1893. The famous Canal, which separates the Peloponnese from mainland Greece, connects the Gulf of Corinth with the Saronic Gulf. The Corinth Canal, though only completed in the late 19th century, was an idea and dream that’s dates back over 2000 thousand years.
Afterwards, we continue to the small village of Ancient Corinth where we’ll visit the archaeological site, with the unique monolithic Temple of Apollo (one of the oldest in Greece, 585 B.C.) the Bema where St. Paul preached and the Archaeological Museum of Corinth. Afterwards we can have a relaxing stroll in the pedestrian part of the town, stop to enjoy a cup of coffee or do some shopping.
